Ernest William Cook, Sr., 91, of New Hope Road, Bluefield, WV, passed away on Tuesday, January 30, 2018 at the Ridge Care Nursing Home in Princeton.
Born on November 16, 1926 in Parksville, KY, he was a son of the late Arthur William and Laura Honaker Cook. He had been a resident of New Hope Road for 63 years and was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church where he spent so many good times worshiping our Lord with friends. He also loved to sing and play the guitar to anyone who would listen. He was a retired foreman for US Steel and had worked in the coal industry for 40 years. He was a US Army veteran and served in World War II. He was a member of the Bramwell Masonic Lodge.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rettie Mae Cook; and 10 brothers and sisters.
