Jack H Robertson

Born August 9, 1935 in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Wilbur C. Robertson, Sr. and Alma Pauline Robertson.

Jack grew up in Mullens, WV and graduated from Mullens High School before moving to Princeton and joining the U.S. Army of which he served in the Military Police.

Jack worked for Walls Chevrolet in Princeton for more than 10 years. He was also a former employee of Kitchekan Mining with 12 years’ service, Bluestone Paving and retired from the Department of Highways in Princeton with 20 years’ service.

Jack loved life and his family. To him his family always came first. Jack was of the Baptist faith and attended several churches in the community.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers; Gary Lee, William David, Wilbur C. Jr. and Joseph Edward Robertson.

He will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by his wife, Mona, of 54 years; his daughters, Jacqueline Heather Pettrey (Shane) and Stephanie Ann Robertson Grose, both of Princeton. Granddaughters, Breanna Rachell Wirtz and Samantha Brooke Grose, both of Princeton; and Kaitlin Danielle Grose of Pennsylvania. Grandson, Brandon Pierce Grose and step-grandson, Caleb Pettrey, both of Princeton. Brother, George S. Robertson (Peggy) of Leland, NC, brother-in-law Onsby M. Hurst (Yvonne) of Rock, WV and a very special sister-in-law, Loretta A. Coutroulis (Steve) of Princeton. Two very special nephews, Joey and Mike Robertson both of Princeton. A very dear friend, Ginny Sue Brabban of Princeton.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 1, 2012 from 6p.m. to 8p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 2, 2012 at 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Steven Lilly officiating.

Interment will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens with graveside military rites. Pallbearers will be Brandon Grose, Shane Pettrey, Mike Robertson, Russell Wirtz, Sam Gardner and John Clark (D.C.)
