James "Jimmy" E. Sellers

Born January 2, 1934 in Capels, WV, he was the son of the late Kendred Lawrence and Gertie Lee Sellers.

Jimmy was a coal miner, a former employee with Mercer Glass, an Independent Contractor with Bluefield Daily Telegraph, and was most recently employed with Mary’s Flag Car Service.

Jimmy enjoyed motorcycle riding with his brother, Billy. They would just take off riding, not sure of where they were going. They just enjoyed time together. He loved planting flowers in the summer time. On Sunday’s he would enjoying watching his Nascar race. He was a big fan of Dale Earnhardt.

Jimmy will be sadly missed by his children, Debra and husband Ronald Sampley, of Buchannon, WV, Robert Allen and wife Darlene Sellers of Buchannon, WV, James Edward Sellers, Jr. of Buchannon, WV; brothers, Junior and wife Phyllis Sellers of Front Royal, VA, Billy and wife Linda Sellers of Rock, WV, who took extra special care of him, Johnny Sellers of Maryland; sisters, Beulah and husband Mitch Shrewsbury of Gibsonville, NC, Sue and husband Wayne Belcher of Princeton; Grandchildren, Joshua Woody, Jennifer Woody, David Woody, Charlene and husband Michael Fultineer, Shanna Miller, Amber Miller, Aaron James Sellers; several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; special friends Jack Silvey and Richard Silvey of Princeton, WV, Fred “Squeek” and wife Nellie Farley of Princeton, WV, Kent Longwell of New Martinsville, WV; Companion, Ann Belcher, who helped Billy and Linda take care of him. She made Jimmy smile each day with “I love you”.

In honor of Jimmy’s wishes his body will be cremated.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, February 12, 2011 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel, 450 Courthouse Road, Princeton, WV, on Saturday, February 12, 2011.

Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. with Pastor Bill Deskins officiating. Julia Whittaker will be singing to honor the memory of James “Jimmy” Sellers.
