Milty Wayne Croy, Sr. age 65 peacefully passed away on August 20, 2015 at his home on Maple Acres Road in Green Valley. Born July 23, 1950, he was the son of Kenneth G. Croy and Ethel Ratliff Croy of Bluefield, WV.
Milty gave his heart to Jesus and asked him to be his Lord and Savior at the church altar in Ceres Baptist Church about 40 years ago, where he was baptized. For the past year, he has been attending Greenview United Methodist Church in Green Valley, Bluefield, WV.
Milty fought a hard battle with cancer, but God in his infinite wisdom, and enduring mercy shortened that battle and called him home where he can sit on God’s front porch and view all the wonders before him. He retired from the Bluefield, WV Post Office where he was employed as a postal clerk for 36 years.
Milty was preceded in death by his mother Ethel Ratliff Croy, and brother Kenneth Croy, Jr. Survivors include the love of his life for 47 years, Mary Stupalsky Croy; he had one daughter Mary Croy Stefanek, her husband David; and one son Milty W. Croy,II his wife Kara. Other survivors are his father Kenneth Croy, Sr., stepmother Mildred; brother Robert Croy, wife Deborah; and sister Michelle Finely, husband Marvin (Tony). His beloved grandchildren, Bobby Wayne Simon, Heather Marie Simon, Bubby Croy, Cody Croy, Milty Jacob Croy, and great grandchildren Davon Joe Simon, Jayden Simon and Isaac Simon. He was loved by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends Tracey and Hilda Cochran, cousin Terry and Teresa Ratliffe, friend Mike and Debbie Glass and special sister-in-law, Charlice Stupalsky Young.
The visitation for family and friends we be held on Saturday August 22, 2015 from 6-9 p.m. at the Roselawn Funeral Home in Princeton, WV. Services to honor his life will be held on Sunday August 23, 2015 at 2:30 p.m. at the Greenview United Methodist Church in Green Valley, with Pastor Richard (Rick) Chester officiating. Following the service, Milty Croy Sr. will be laid to rest at the Monte Vista Cemetery in Green Valley.
His son, Milty Croy, II.; grandsons, Bobby Simon, Bubby Croy, Cody Croy, Jacob Croy, Dylan Martin, Devin Martin, and Jamie Bailey will be serving as pallbearers.
