Osie B Walker

She was born January 5, 1921 in Smyth County, VA to the late Marian C. and Dora Ann (Coulthard) Buchanan. A homemaker, Osie attended East End Baptist Church in Bluefield, WV, loved spending time outdoors gardening and cooking.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Jasper R. Walker, daughter Judith Lynn Walker, three brothers - Marco, Estel and William W. Buchanan as well as four sisters - Vivian Webb, Edna Sarver, Florence Buchanan and Terry Hixon.

Left to cherish her memory is son Bob Walker of Richmond, VA, and daughters Lois Bowles of Henrico, VA and Emma Walker of Bluefield, WV. Sisters Cecile Andrews of Rocky Gap, VA. and Dora Turner of Powhatan, VA. Grandsons Phillip Walker and wife Kristi of Newnan, GA and Paul Bowles and wife Tammy of Glen Allen, VA.; five great-grandchildren.

Friends may call on Wednesday, October 8, 2014 from 1:00-2:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel. Immediately following the visitation, a processional to the Garden of Ten Commandments in Roselawn Memorial Gardens will take place where graveside rites will be conducted by Reverend Chad Lambert. Friends and family will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the building fund at East End Baptist Church, 1504 Princeton Ave., Bluefield, WV 24701.
