Violet M. Conley

Born July 3, 1929, in Mercer County, she was the daughter of the late French Smith Wimmer and Callie (Thornton) Wimmer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband Emerson Conley, sister Norma Belcher, and brothers Pete, Herbert, Jim, Bobby and Dallas Wimmer.

Violet was a homemaker who enjoyed sewing, crocheting and spending time playing Bingo.

She will be lovingly missed by son Emerson Randall Conley of Lindside, WV and step-daughter Gail Sells of Minnesota. Sisters Nancy Baker and husband Bobby of Bluefield, WV and Ellen Bailey of Bluefield, WV;brothers Bill Wimmer and wife Pat of Bluefield, WV;Earl Wimmer of Princeton, WV and Roger Wimmer of Statesville, NC. Also, special friends Nettie Gates and Nellie Arnold.

Visitation for Violet will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2014, from 12:00 p.m. – 1:00 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel, 450 Courthouse Rd., Princeton, WV. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. with Evangelist Darrell Bailey officiating. Pallbearers include Nathan Wimmer, Timothy Wimmer, John Wimmer, Donnie Baker and Gilbert Wimmer.

Burial will follow in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
