Kate Patricia Prosch-Jensen

A recitation of the Holy Rosary, will be held Friday, February 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. at Prineville Funeral Home . A Mass Christian burial service will be held Saturday, February 4, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Prineville. Father Robert Greiner will officiate. A reception will follow for all family and friends at the church Parish Hall. Private burial will be at Ft. Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Kate was born in Keewatin, Minnesota on June 12, 1919 to John and Ann Krpan.

She lived in the Kirkland, Washington area from 1951 until 1997. Kate moved to Prineville in 1997.

She will be remembered most for her kind and gentle demeanor and always finding the best in others. Her husband Carl, four children and grandchildren were the center of her life. She was a generous volunteer in her community and church and will be missed by all of those who knew her. She loved dancing, swing & ballroom. She also enjoyed sewing, gardening, and going to the mountains with her family to camp and pick berries."

She was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Kirkland, Washington, and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Prineville.

Kate is survived by her husband of 62 years Carl Prosch-Jensen of Prineville Children: Carl O. and his wife Kathleen Prosch-Jensen of Redmond, WA; Paul F. and his wife Alisa Prosch-Jensen of Port Orford, OR; Elizabeth A. Prosch-Jensen and her husband Patrick Gillem of Prineville, OR, Jane E. Prosch-Jensen and her husband Raymond Kornfeind of Edina, MN; one brother Peter Simic of Burbank, CA; one sister Lola Perpich of Minneapolis, MN.

Five grandchildren; Paul, Eric, Peter Prosch-Jensen, John and Katherine Gillem

Kate was preceded in death by her parents, John & Ann Simic, sisters Ann Spadaccini and Mary Shult, and brother Mike Krpan.
