

Albert Mancini Jr., 61, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, October 10, 2013 at the Philip Hulitar Home and Hospice Inpatient Center. Born in Providence, beloved son of Albert Sr. and Margaret F. (Farren) Mancini, with whom he lived and provided for with unsurpassed love and care during the past 20 years and up until his most recent illness.
A retired laborer and roofer, he was a dedicated family man. He was a graduate of the Providence Public School System and served in the United States Marine Corp 1970-1974. He enjoyed walking, reading and spending time with family and friends and always lent a helping hand to family and neighbors. He will be sadly missed and deeply loved by all. He was a former member of the Laborers International Union of North America, Local 271.
Father of Tara Marie Mancini of Washington, D.C. and Thomas Albert Mancini of Cumberland; and brother of Lawrence J. Mancini and his wife Maria E. of Smithfield. Recently predeceased by his sister Margaret F. “Margie” Peters. He also leaves his former wife Marilynn A. Lepore.
Visitation Saturday 9:30-11:30 a.m. followed by a service at 11:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Ave., Providence. Burial with military honors will be private.
