

She was the beloved wife of 73 years to the late William M. Cook, Jr. Born in Providence, RI she was the daughter of the late Blazis and Vincenta ( Leschinskis ) Yuskevictz
Aldona, also known as Diane, is survived by her loving children: William M Cook III (Kathleen), Michael J Cook (Grace), Pamela DiCarlo, and Nancy Silva (John). Besides her parents and husband, Diane was preceded in death by her older siblings Vebislow Juskevicusse, Anna Losea, Victor Juszkewicz, William Juszkewecz, Eva Rutkwicz, Theresa Kaskewsky, Henry Janis, Walter Yuskevitz, and Edward Juskevicus.
She worked at United Products and Industrial National Bank, as well as doing office work for treasured friends Dr. Sambandam and Viji from where she retired.
Aldona loved spending time supporting all her grandchildren’s sports and school activities. She was an avid card player, enjoyed crocheting, and rooting on her favorite sports teams, the New England Patriots, Boston Red Sox and the Boston Bruins. She was a longtime communicant of St. Casmir where her and William were married in 1948.
She was a cherished grandmother of Ten, Matthew Cook and his wife Melissa, Jennifer Sukys and her husband Robert, Michaela Cook, Nathaniel Cook and his wife Sarah Riedo, Gina Coutu and her husband Ryan, Loreen DiCarlo, John Silva and his wife Jordan, Madeleine Glidden and her husband David, Nicholas DiCarlo and his wife Danielle and Brandon Silva, fifteen great grandchildren Taylor Sukys, Giana DiCarlo, Tyler Coutu, Amelia Riedo Cook, Landon Cook, Mia Coutu, Blaise Riedo Cook, Claire Reido Cook, Chloe Silva, Ella Gillheeney, Nicholas DiCarlo Jr, Bryce Cook, Dominic Riedo Cook, Mason DiCarlo and Harper Silva, and two great great grandchildren, Alexander Maldonado and Lilliana Maldonado.
The Family would like to thank Beacon Hospice and Palliative Care for all their support during this difficult time.
We would also like to acknowledge all the friends and family who helped and visited Aldona especially Elaine and Don Tomasso , Louanne Bradley, Marilyn Renfree and all of her card playing friends who she so enjoyed beating at 21 Black Jack and High Low Jack and “Pig”.
Visitation and funeral will be held Friday, June 21, 2024 from 8:00-9:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St Mark’s Church 9 Garden Court Cranston RI (Garden City) Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
