BELL, ALEXANDER, 71, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2019. He was the beloved husband of Lily (Kampelmacher) Bell; they were married for over 50 years. Born in Dzierzoniow, Germany, he was a son of the late Samuel (Ditzchek) and Sophia (Bellabokof) Dykowsky.
‘Alex’ loved meeting people and recounting past exploits at the gym, restaurants and check-out lines. He also enjoyed joking around, especially at the expense of putting wife Lily (who is shy) in the spotlight. He was an avid reader, liked to ride with Lily on their tandem bicycle, and enjoyed relaxing by fire pits.
Besides his wife, he is survived by his sons Joseph Bell with wife Patricia, Robert Bell, and Michael Bell with wife Susan; brother Henry Dykowsky and wife Nava; sister Irene Rosenberg; niece Elizabeth Goldklang and family; nephew Donny Dykowsky and family; and grandchildren Sarina, Hannah, Lennon, Sophia, Ava, Samuel, and Charles.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 29th at 10:00 AM at Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope St, Providence, RI with burial to follow at Agudas Achim Cemetery, Attleboro, MA. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, www.cancer.org/about-us/local/massachusetts.
