Mother and father to Christopher St. Jean (Kristen) and Mark St. Jean (Karissa). Father and stepmother to Greg St. Jean (Leslie), Rachel Salvatore (Danny), and Scott St. Jean. Grandparents to 5. Cat-mother and step-cat-father (begrudgingly) to Groot, Rocket, and Rhody.
Alfred was brother to the late Joseph St. Jean (Millie), Bob St. Jean (Janine), Ray St. Jean (Barbara), and Jeanette Dagesse (Leo).
Lynnmarie was sister to Gene M. Tucciarone (Desiree), Luanne Leiner (Rick (late)), Gina R. Fallon (Craig), and Karen Tucciarone.
The love Lynnmarie and Alfred had for each other and for their family was a special kind. Through what seemed like a lifetime of health challenges, they were at each other’s side unwaveringly. They devoted their lives to their children and grandchildren. They shared holidays (and their address) with his ex-wife and her own husband which created a unique household and family that defied logic. His generosity and her patience on full display. The family they built was their greatest accomplishment and they were so very proud of it.
Lynn was an immensely talented artist and creative soul. She hand-painted china and colored and elevated scrapbooking to an artform. She loved a good story, from books to movies to television. She was so much stronger than she gave herself credit for that it was laughable. She was stubborn, in the best of ways.
Al was an electrician at CCRI for more than 25 years. Everyone who knew Al had a story of him offering help when he didn’t have to. He loved watching sports, particularly football, tennis, and golf. He lived for March Madness. He put his legendary temper on display on the golf course and at the bowling alley. He was stubborn, in the best of ways.
Al loved to drive, and Lynn hated to navigate, so the two of them built their most cherished memories on road trips across the south visiting monuments to country music and legendary diners. They loved playing games and listening to music and laughing. They enjoyed nothing in this world more than laughing with their family.
Their visitation will be held Saturday, February 11th beginning at 11:00 a.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence. At the request of the family, masks are strongly encouraged.
