Alfred C. Oliver, Jr., “Bubba” 71, of Providence, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 4, 2014. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Alfred C. Sr. and Eva G. (Andrade) Oliver. Bubba enjoyed Traveling, Reading, Fishing, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his daughter, Eva Grace Oliver, of Niceville, FL; two sisters, Joan Marie Martinez, of Providence, and Rosemary Crum, of Cranston; a brother, Robert Oliver, of Hawaii; and two grandchildren, Tamara and Athena Love. Bubba leaves several nieces, nephews, and dear friends, especially his yellow naped amazon parrot named Oliver, whom he had for 40 years. He was the brother of the late David Arkins. His funeral with visitation will begin on Monday, June 9, 2014 at 9:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence, with a funeral service at 11:00 am, to which relatives and friends are cordially invited.
