Allen T. “Tony” Smith, 71, passed away May 4, 2017. Son of the late Maenell (Smith) Thomas; husband of Rhonda D. (Smith) Smith; father of Allen T. Smith Jr. (Renee), Deonne M. Smith and Toni D. Smith-Rymer; grandfather of 6; great-grandfather of 3; brother of Joycelyn Moore.
Allen retired from the General Electric Co. as a machinist for 31 years, he later was an electrical machinist for 10 years for General Dynamic.
Visitation and funeral Thursday from 11-12 noon followed by a service at 12 noon in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in Allen’s name may be made to the American Lung Association of RI, 200 West Exchange Street, Suite 102B, Providence, RI 02903-1000.
