It is with great sadness to say that our father, Allen Peter Tevyaw, passed away at his home located in Providence, Rhode Island on Monday, July 13, 2020. He was born on August 11, 1961 to the late William and Julia (Campanini) Tevyaw. Allen was the father of Shantal DiMichele, Amanda Tevyaw, and Allen Tevyaw II and the brother of Robert Tevyaw, Diana Iannuccilli, Donald Tevyaw, Judith Johnson and husband Neil, Yvonne Martin and husband David, Thomas Tevyaw and wife Lisa, James Tevyaw and wife Bella, Dawn Tevyaw, and the late William and Edward Tevyaw.

Allen was an amazing son, brother, father, and friend who loved and was loved by so many people. He had a unique ability to make everyone he met laugh and to easily form lasting connections. He loved to fish, quahog, and spend time with his many friends, family, children, and granddogs. If he was still here right now, he would do everything he could to ease all of our pain because that was the type of man he was. Allen will be forever missed but he will live on in all of our hearts and minds.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 5-7 p.m. in the PONTARELLI–MARINO Home, located at 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, RI. Following the visitation, a funeral service will be held at 7 p.m.

Rest in eternal Peace Baby Brother. You can be so proud of your three beautiful children. What a tribute your wake and funeral service was to the kind of person you are. Thank you for all the visits and phone calls over the years. Our Papa Smurf Nome is sitting in the back yard and every time we pass it, we will think of you and of course we will have a smile on our faces. Can't say good by, so we'll say so long Babe Al. Until we meet again, the love and respect will remain always . May The Lord greet you with open arms.

I am heart broken to hear about Allen’s passing. He was always there for me when I needed him. He Always brought me a ballon and a flower for my birthday every year, would wait to walk me to my car at night and always just came down stairs to make me smile and laugh with some kind of story to always make me laugh. He was so genuine that he would give you the shirt off his back if he loved you. . He was my friend and I will miss my random FaceTimes/phone calls about tomato’s, mushrooms or to just say “Hi chicky it’s me”!!! 😔💔.

My Uncle Allen,

I will forever miss you. Summer will not be the same not seeing you. So I will leave some memories or thanks really. Thank you for teaching us how to catch bees in glass jars so we could throw them at each other, mind you are highly allergic lol, Thanks for being more like a big brother to me my whole life always there when I needed you and I was always here when you needed me. I will miss your bear hugs the most although sometimes I couldn't breath and my back would crack. Teaching us to drink out of containers at anyone's house, God I am going to miss you so very much. I literally could go on forever. Best Uncle a girl could have asked for. RIP Love Always

RIP my little brother. You will be missed. I have so many memories in our life growing up with our family. You have 3 beautiful children that love you so much and you were a great Dad. You always had a smile on your face, a big heart and helped many people in your life. Yes, you did a lot of crazy things but you always made people laugh. You will always be in my heart.

Love you Allen.

- Your sister Yvonne Martin, David and Julia.
