Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Andrew and Josephine (Ferrara) Lapati. He had been the husband of Marian (Capuano) Lapati for 62 years.
Mr. Lapati was a life-long mechanic before retiring. He had served in the Army during WWII.
He was the father of Paula S. McKenna; brother of Lenora Tully and the late Anthony, Carmine, Angelo, Edward and John Lapati and Philomena DiCicco.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial service on Thursday evening at 6:30 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.
