Andrew J. Leddy

Andrew J. Leddy, Jr., 80, of Providence passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at home. He was the loving husband of Mary Lou (Kelly) Leddy, they were married for 22 years.

Born in Providence he was the son of the late Andrew J. and Mary Agnes (Carmody) Leddy.

Andrew graduated from LaSalle Academy and was a Construction Supervisor for Lynch Construction Company before his retirement in 2012.

A Communicant of St. Augustine's Church in Providence, Andrew was also a member of the Men of St. Joseph. In his retirement Andrew enjoyed many hours playing cribbage in several leagues in Warwick, Coventry and Smithfield.  He was an avid fisherman and had several favorite fishing spots throughout the state. Andrew, or Grandpa as he was known, was a dedicated supporter of all of his grandchildren attending as many games, concerts, graduations and celebrations as he could.

Beside his wife Mr. Leddy leaves his blended family, Michael A. Leddy and his wife Nicole of Chesapeake, VA, Steven A. Leddy and his wife Tracey of Warwick, William H. Wishart and his wife Judith of Concord, NH, Kevin M. Wishart and his wife Deborah of Warwick, David E. Wishart and his wife Laura of Coventry, Susan P. Olson and her husband Paul of Riverside, Judith A. Mancini and her husband Robert of Warwick, Kelly A. Wishart and her husband Steven Pelosi of Warwick, Nancy A. Rowe and her husband Carl of Colchester, CT, Jennifer M. Muroff and her husband Jonathan of Needham, MA, 26 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren. Andrew was father of the late Kathleen E. Leddy. 

Funeral Service will be held Friday February 28, 2020 at 8:45 am from the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 am in St. Augustine Church 635 Mt. Pleasant Avenue, Providence. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Calling hours are Thursday February 27, 2020 from 4:00-7:00 pm.
