Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Andrew L. Spirito and Marie (Bellantuoni) Gabourey.
He was the loving father of Christopher J. Spirito of Englewood, FL and brother of James Spirito of NJ, Annemarie Tavone of Johnston, RI and Eleanor Engel of Exeter, RI.
Andrew lived in North Providence with his late wife Marilyn for 32 years. He loved her with all of his heart. They were the best of friends who loved going to the beach, traveling to St. Martin and Italy, and playing rounds of golf together.
Andrew proudly served in the United States Army from 1968-1970 in Vietnam as a medic.
He earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Bryant College in 1974.
Andrew owned and operated a Nationwide Insurance Agency in Cranston, RI for 35 years.
He will be greatly missed by many.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend his visitation on Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence followed by Military Honors at the funeral home. Burial will be private.
