She was the wife of the late Richard Giguere. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Michele and Lillian (Marino) Ferranti.
She was the loving mother of Richard Giguere; cherished grandmother of Maja, Alicia and Joseph; mother-in-law of Shelley Havemeyer. Anna also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Mary, Evelyn, Chris “DeeDee”, John, Joseph and Anthony “Spitz”.
Anna exemplified what it truly meant to put others first and herself last. She was the most caring, loving and kind mother, grandma, and friend. The relationship she had with her late husband Richard Giguere set an example for anyone who met them to see what true love looked like. She was an Italian spitfire who loved to cook, watch Family Feud and listen to Frank Sinatra. She was a very special woman and will be greatly missed.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15 George Waterman Road, Johnston. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are omitted. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Memphis, TN 38101-9908.
