HALPERN, ANNETTE, died November 14th. She was the wife of the late Theodore Halpern. Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Nathan and Sadie (Golden) Landy, she had lived in Cranston for more than 55 years. She was the sister of Mildred Shusman, Alan Landy, and the late Loretta Penn. After retiring from 20 years of clerical service with the State of Rhode Island, she graduated with a degree from Rhode Island College in 1992. She was an avid potter and jewelry maker, and enjoyed gardening, theatre, traveling and playing bridge. She was a member of Hadassah and a volunteer at Hasbro Children’s Hospital. She was the mother of David Landy Halpern of Providence, Karen Cornell and her husband Donald of Georgetown, TX and Neal Halpern of North Attleboro, MA, grandmother of Erin Horton and her husband Josh, Rena Zito and her husband Jim, Nathan, Kenneth, Jonathan, Kyle, Zachary, and great grandmother of Mira.
