Annie E. Down, age 84, died peacefully at home in Florida on December 10, 2021. She was a daughter of the late John J. and Alma O. (Levesque) Deignan; loving mother of Ann Morrissette, Charles Down, and Matthew Down; sister of George and Joseph Deignan, and the late Antoinette, Laura, John, and Victor Deignan; cherished grandmother of Elizabeth, Christopher, and Nicholas; and aunt of several nieces and nephews.
She worked as a nurse’s aide at the Little Sisters of the Poor in Pawtucket until retirement.
Visitation will be held Thursday 9:00 a.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in St. Edward Church, 997 Branch Ave, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Little Sisters of the Poor, www.littlesistersofthepoor.org.
