

Born in Reno, Nevada, he was the beloved son of Erika Berganza-Cruz and Anthony Y. Barajas Sr.
Anthony was a proud graduate of the Providence Career and Technical Academy, Class of 2023, where he formed lasting friendships and was known for his bright spirit and sense of humor.
Anthony had a deep love for sports and the outdoors. He enjoyed boxing and playing basketball and soccer and found peace in fishing. He was also a passionate fan of the Los Angeles Lakers, proudly supporting his team with enthusiasm. Known for his warm smile and infectious personality, he had a special way of bringing joy to those around him. Above all, Anthony loved his family dearly and valued the time they shared together.
He leaves behind his loving siblings, Toni Barajas, Aryck Jesse Cruz, and Alana Maria Cruz. He was adored by his aunt, Brenda Berganza and uncle Brian Berganza. He was the cherished grandson of Maria Elena Berganza and the late Jose Berganza. Anthony also leaves behind the unborn child he was eagerly awaiting, due in December, as well as the anticipation of becoming an uncle, a role that brought him great happiness.
His presence, laughter, and kind spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Visitation will be held Monday, June 1, 2026, from 4:00–7:00 pm and Tuesday morning from 9:00–10:00 am in the Romano Funeral Home, 627 Union Ave, Providence. A funeral service will be held Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 10:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
