Anthony J. “Edsel” DeCarlo, 72, passed away November 24, 2015. He was the beloved husband of Colleen (Nassi) DeCarlo for 44 years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Angelina (Mento) DeCarlo; father of Deana Caito and her husband David, Loriann Baccari and her husband Erik; grandfather of Ava, Sofia and Olivia; and son-in-law of Barbara Nassi and the late Carmine Nassi. He also leaves many extended family members and friends.
Anthony was the owner of Anthony’s Atlantic, Inc. (Shell) gas station for 44 years. He was also an avid racecar driver, having won many NHRA races.
Visitation and funeral will be held Friday 8:30-10:30 a.m. from the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, 100 Chatham Street, Providence. Burial will be in St. Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Home & Hospice Care of RI, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
