Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Yvonne (Dufault) Pieranunzi.
Anthony was a Deputy Sheriff for the State of Rhode Island for 25 years before retiring. He was also the President of the Teramano Social & Athletic Club and was a Master Carpenter.
He was the loving father of Robert D. Pieranunzi and his wife Stephanie, Joseph J. Pieranunzi and the late Anthony L. Pieranunzi, Jr. and Christopher C. Pieranunzi; grandfather of 8 and great grandfather of 10. He was also the brother of Joseph Pieranunzi, Linda Cusati and the late John ”Jacky”Pieranunzi.
His funeral will be held Friday at 9:45 am from the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am in Blessed Sacrament Church 179 Academy Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private. VISITATION THURSDAY 4-7PM.
