Anthony Pontarelli

Anthony Pontarelli, 82, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026. Son of the late Anthony and Antima (Valentino) Pontarelli. Beloved husband of Elaine (Iemma) Pontarelli. Devoted father of Anthony Pontarelli and Deborah Pontarelli-Burlingame and her husband, Thomas. Cherished grandfather of Sophia Norato. Brother of Edward Pontarelli and his wife Cindy, and the late Paul A. Pontarelli.

Anthony was a tile and marble installer and owned Greystone Tile and Marble for many years. Prior to that, he worked at Texaco Oil Refinery for several years. He was a volunteer fireman for the Town of North Providence and served in the Army Reserves. He was an avid golfer and loved traveling with his wife and family. Anthony and Elaine were high school sweethearts and recently celebrated 60 years of marriage. Above all else, he loved spending time with his loving wife, children, granddaughter, and his little dog Bentley. He showed up for everyone in need without ever being asked.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, starting at 8:30-9:30 AM in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Saint Anthony Church, 1413 Mineral Spring Avenue, North Providence. Burial will follow in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket.
