Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Antonio and Maria (Bastone) Salvatore and step-son of the late Michael Nastari; devoted father of Antonio Salvatore Sr. and his wife Marguerite, and Maria Salvatore; grandfather of Antonio Salvatore Jr., Julian L. Salvatore, and Lawrence DeCristofaro III; brother of Jennie Patalano and the late Virginia Marsella and Eleanor Capelli.
Visitation and funeral will be held Tuesday, 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, 100 Chatham Street, Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Agnes Church.
