He was the husband of the late Helen R. (Turgeon)Veigas; father of Anthony M. Veigas, Jean M. Gesualdi and husband Joseph, Phyllis A. Iacona and husband John A. Jr.; grandfather of Gianna P. Kandalaft and husband John, and John R. Iacona; great-grandfather of Hannah and Isobel Kandalaft.
Anthony had worked as a bricklayer before retiring and was a member of the International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craftworkers Local #3, a volunteer firefighter for Geneva and a member of the Knights of Columbus. He also loved to travel and go dancing with his wife.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, 5-7 p.m. with a service to follow at 7 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Jude Tribute Program at www.stjude.org/donate.
