He earned a PhD from MIT and was a professor at Georgetown in Washington and the University of Maine.
Besides his wife he is survived by his children Benjamin, Jonathan, Adam, Renana, Chava, and Nadav Herzog; siblings Marlene Honig and Michael Herzog; and 5 grandsons.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 21st at 12:30 PM at Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope St, Providence with burial in Swan Point Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to Israel Friends of Technion, www.technion.ac.il. Shiva will be held at his late residence; Friday following services and Sunday, Monday and Wednesday 1-6 PM. Tuesday 2 - 7- minyan at 6:30.
