Born in Pico, Italy, she was the daughter of the late Bernardo and Giovanna (Moracce) Abatecola.
She was the mother of Guistino “Gus” Conti, John Conti and Anthony Conti, Elisa Carpentieri, Maria Forte, Lena Cardoso and Erminia Santilli; grandmother of 15, great grandmother of 20 and great great grandmother of 9. She was also the sister of the late Alfredo, Angela and Carmina Abatecola.
Her funeral will be held Saturday at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in St. Rocco Church, 971 Atwood Avenue, Cranston. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery. VISITATION FRIDAY 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to HopeHealth Hospice, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904.
