Born in Providence, he was the son of the late John and Mabel (Golding) Link.
Gus was the father of August W. Link, Jr., Matthew Link and Jonathan McLean and grandfather of Mackenzie, Emma, Greyson and Alicia. He was also the brother of Jean Link, Joy Link and the late Marilou Casey, Elizabeth Hammond and John Link.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, November 25, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM in the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private.
