

Barbara Georgette (Raya) Badway, 71, of Sunset Avenue, passed away on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. She was the wife of the late Ernest E. Badway. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was a daughter of the late John and Suzanne (Jacob) Raya. She lived in North Providence for the past 44 years. Mrs. Badway worked as a medical billing clerk and was a graduate of Lincoln Technical Institute. Barbara was a faithful communicant of Saint George Maronite Catholic Church. She leaves her children, Ernest E. Badway, Kevin T. Badway, Dana M. Badway, and Brian J. Badway; six grandchildren, whom she loved dearly, Sydney, Abigail, Nicholas, and Matthew Badway and John and Benjamin Witczak; her granddog, Brody; and nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews, and cousins who meant the world to her. She was predeceased by her son, Mark J. Badway who passed away last year. Barbara was the sister of the late George and Alfred Raya and Agnes Hrize. Her funeral will be held on Friday, October 9, 2015 at 9:00 am, in Saint George Maronite Catholic Church, 1493 Cranston Street, Cranston. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am. Interment will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours are Thursday, October 8, 2015 from 4:00 to 8:00pm, in the church.
