She was married to the late Robert Alan Carlson and later was married to the late Raymond Thomas D’Attilio. She is survived by her loving son, Dean Carlson and his wife, Melissa, of Fall River, MA, and proud grandmother to Zachary, Jacob and Benjamin. Born in Providence, Barbara was the daughter of the late Joseph and Edith Puccetti. She was the sister of Robert (Mary) and sister-in-law of David Carlson (Jane).
Barbara was a hairdresser and esthetician for many years. She was creative and artistic and loved to read. She was cherished by many and will be lovingly remembered as a devoted caregiver to family and friends, especially her mother Edie. As a lifelong friend growing up on Winona St., Elaine (Ciaccia) Lauro, can attest to Barbara’s indomitable spirit and unique sense of humor. Her love of spiced chai from La Salle Bakery was surpassed only by the love she had for her precious dog, Ginger.
A private service will be held at Pontarelli-Marino Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Ann Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest beside her first love, Bobby Carlson, who passed tragically at a very early age.
