Barbara E. (Niven) Moorehead, 86, passed away December 1, 2016. She was the wife of the late Leonard A. Moorehead Sr. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late John and Anastasia (McKeon) Niven.
Barbara was the loving mother of Leonard A. Moorehead Jr, Kathi Prestien, Gerald Moorehead, Susan Moorehead, Diane Kazantsev and David Moorehead; grandmother of Ellison Moorehead, Jasmine Moorehead, Jacqueline Moorehead, Alexandria Barrington, Benjamin Barrington, Cody Moorehead, Nicole Kazantsev and Devin Moorehead; sister of Gertrude Lowell and the late Geraldine Johnson.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday from 2-4 p.m. in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Girl Scouts of SE New England, 500 Greenwich Ave, Warwick, RI 02886.
