Barbara Ida Murray

Barbara Ida (Tainsh) Murray age 81 of Stone Drive, Cranston passed away at her home on May 7, 2008. She was the beloved wife of the late George W. Murray. Born in Fitchburg, Ma, a daughter of the late Andrew and Ida(McGinn)Tainsh. Before retirement, Barbara was employed by The Big Y super Market as a clerk for many years. In later years she and her sister owned and operated the former C & B Catering Co of Cranston RI. She was a member of The Kelley Gazzero V F W Post 2812 of Cranston, She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. She was the mother of George W., Jr., Andrew T., and Thomas Murray all of Springfield MA, Ronald and Michael Murray both of Austin TX and Deborah Youmell of Greenfield MA. Sister of Elizabeth Murray of No. Providence and Carol Brouillette of Cranston. She was the mother of the late John F. Murray and Gail P. Garelli, sister of the late Alexander Tainsh. She was the loving grandmother of 31 and great-grandmother of 18. Visiting hours will be held on Monday, May 12, 2008 from 4 to 7pm with a funeral service to follow in the chapel of the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 331 Smith St., Providence. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 14, 2008 at 1pm In Church of the Epiphany, Wilbraham Rd., Springfield MA, Relatives and friends are kindly invited.
