North ProvidenceBarbara M. Ventre, 68, of Smith Street, died Monday in Cranston. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Ventre.Born in Providence, a daughter of the late George Lawrence and Dorothy (Silva) Lawrence-Machado, she lived in North Providence many years.Barbara leaves three sons; Nick Ventre, Joseph Ventre, and Destie Ventre; a brother, Joseph Lawrence; a sister, Helen Hathaway; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Salvatore Ventre, Domenick Ventre, and Anthony Ventre, and sister of the late Arthur Machado and Dorothy Machado.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday, at 11:00 am, in Saint Ann Church, 280 Hawkins Street, Providence, to which relatives and friends are invited.
