
East GreenwichBenjamin J. Davenport, 86, died Thursday, December 3, 2015, at home. Born in Shirley, Massachusetts, he was a son of the late Benjamin and Elizabeth T. (O'Shea) Davenport. Benjamin worked as a Production Manager for the Hollingsworth & Vose Paper Company for many years before retiring. He served our country proudly as a member of the United States Army during World War II.He leaves his nieces and nephews, John Waters, Betty Ann Waters, Barbara O'Connor, David O'Connor, Eric O'Connor, Jo Anne O'Connor, Carolyn Waters, he was the uncle of the late Leroy Waters and Kenneth Waters, and was the brother of the late Elizabeth O'Connor.The funeral service will be held on Monday, December 7, 2015 at 10:00 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial, with military honors, will be in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Visiting hours Sunday afternoon 2:00 - 4:00 pm.
