Bernard Anthony DeLiello

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Francesco and Mary (Carrara) DeLiello.

Bernie was a graduate of Central High School and worked for many years as a truck driver. He was a proud member of Teamsters Local 251 for 37 years.

Bernie devoted much of his time to his community, including coaching in the Saint Anthony T.I.P. Baseball League. An avid sports fan, he especially loved cheering on the New York Yankees and New York Giants.

Above all else, Bernie was a devoted family man. He was always there for those he loved, without hesitation, no matter what they needed or the time of day—even if it meant heading out in his slippers. Affectionately known as the family’s “errand man,” his loved ones are convinced he created DoorDash long before it existed. He found his greatest happiness in helping others, spending time with his family and making sure everyone around him was taken care of. His kindness, dependability and deep love for his family will never be forgotten.

He was the father of Michael DeLiello and his wife Kerri and Pamela Taylor, and the stepfather of Jennifer Gray, Jaclyn Gray, and Russell Gray and his wife Stephanie. He was also the brother of Helen Kwetkowski and the late Ann Connolly, Francis DeLiello, and Robert DeLiello. He is also survived by his grandchildren Anthony (Kennedy), Briana, Cameron (Demi), Jamie (Kirsten), Tora, Joey, Antonio, and Gio, and his great-grandchildren Jayden, Peyton, Owen, Grayson, Mila, Gia, Anthony Jr., and Naiara.

His visitation and funeral will be held on Friday, August 14, 2026, from 9:00–10:15 a.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO FUNERAL HOME, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 15 George Waterman Road, Johnston.

Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
