Bernard Feinerman, 89, of Dartmouth, MA, formerly of Fairhaven, MA, died at St. Luke’s Hospital on Wednesday Feb. 27, 2019. Bernard was born on Aug. 8, 1929, the son of Jack and Judith Feinerman. He married Diane Feinerman (nee Herman) on June 18, 1950. He is survived by his sister, Frances Feinerman; his wife, Diane Feinerman; his children, Donna Feiner, Carl Feinerman, Alan Feinerman, Laura Feinerman and Ilana Feinerman; 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons. Bernard Feinerman was born in Brooklyn, NY, and obtained a bachelor’s degree from New York Polytechnical Institute and later a master’s degree from Manhattan College; both degrees were in engineering. He worked on multiple emerging technologies from early wireless phones to heart monitors used in the operating room. He died peacefully in his sleep. He had a powerful will and certainly fought to live well beyond his body’s life expectancy. Funeral service will be held Tifereth Israel Synagogue, 145 Brownell Ave., New Bedford, on Friday March 1, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Graveside service will take place at New Montefiore Cemetery, West Babylon, NY, on Sunday March 3, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the charity of your choice.
