

Lincoln - Duffy, Bernard J., "Joe", 81, of Lincoln and formerly of Pawtucket,RI and Duneden, FL, died Sunday at Oak Hill Nursing Centre in Pawtucket. He was the husband of the late Margery P. (Cullinan) Duffy. They had been married for 53 years.Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Bernard P. and Johanna M. (Harrington) Duffy.Joe was a patrol officer with the Providence Police Department for twenty years, retiring in 1968. He later worked as a service technician for New England Telephone Company for 21 years retiring in 1989. He was a member of the Providence Police Association and was a World War II Navy veteran.He loved following local politics by listening to local talk radio and enjoyed listening to Irish Music and spending time with his family.He is survived by his children, Bernard J. Duffy, Jr., of Lincoln and Patricia A. Krzywonos and Jane M. Duffy, both of Pawtucket and five grandchildren. He was the brother of the late John F. Duffy. His funeral will be on Wednesday at 8:45am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith St., Providence. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at at 10:00am in St. Cecilia Church, 1253 Newport Ave, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence.
