Betty Earline McLeod

Betty E. Holden-McLeod (Pelrine) 87, of Cranston, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 22, 2016 at the Scandinavian Home in Cranston. She was the loving wife of the late Robert K. McLeod. Born in Gastonia, North Carolina, she was a daughter of the late L. Earl and V. Irene (Bolch) Pelrine. Betty attended CCRI and Bryant College. She worked as an accountant for ITT Grinnell Corp. for 18 years prior to retiring in 1986. After retiring from Grinnell, she worked as an accountant for Citizens Bank for 7 years, retiring in 1993. Betty also loved traveling with her family and friends. She leaves her two sons, Bruce W. Holden, of Rochester, MA and Edward E. Holden, of Cranston; a step son, Scott McLeod, of Narragansett; a step daughter, Nancy Morgan, of North Kingstown; her siblings, Lawrence Pelrine, Evelyn Peterson, Louise Santanelli, and June Morrissette; three grandchildren, Derek Holden, Nicole Holden Perrault, and Jonathan Holden; three step grandchildren, and three great grandchildren. Mrs. McLeod was the sister of the late Raymond and Peter Pelrine, Jane Jordan, and Isabel Josephson. Her funeral will begin on Thursday, at 9:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 9:20 am, in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home, 142 Centerville Road, Warwick. Relatives and friends are invited.
