Brenda M. (Breggia) Conti, 68, went to be with the Lord June 4, 2013. She was the beloved wife of Paul T. Conti. Born in Providence, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Natalie (Terrano) Breggia. She was the mother of Pauleena M. Palazio and her husband Mark, and Paul T. Conti, Jr.; grandmother of Victoria, Zachary, Talia and Kyle; sister of Thomas, Alfred, Joseph and Robert Breggia, Sue Silvestri, Irene Mancini, and Dorothy Acciaoli, and the late Edward and William Breggia.
Brenda deeply touched the lives of all who knew her. Though she endured a life of chronic pain and suffering, she exuded a joy and peace that was amazing to all with whom she came in contact. She had a way of making one feel very special when in her presence. If sharing some great news, Brenda would rejoice. When going through a trial, she would empathize and encourage. She had a wonderful sense of humor, too! Brenda fiercely loved her family and served them with great love and devotion. She was the anchor for her beloved husband, Paul, and her adoring children, Pauleena and Paul. Coming from a very large extended Italian family, Brenda enjoyed close contact with her brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews and attending the many family gatherings through the years brought her much happiness. But her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She had a deeply rooted faith in Him and read his Word daily. She readily shared her faith with all and always gave glory to her Lord, no matter the circumstances. She was a bright light upon this earth and now her light shines very brightly in Heaven where she receives her own crown of glory for her steadfast faith in God.
A celebration of her life will be held Tuesday, June 11th from 4-7 p.m. with a service at 7 p.m. in the PONTARELLI-MARINO Home, 971 Branch Avenue, Providence. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Hope Baptist Church, 65 South Main Street, Pascoag, RI 02859.
