It is with a heavy heart and great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, wife and sister, Brenda Lee Rezendes, age 61, of Providence. Her passing was on Saturday, July 23, 2022 in Rhode Island Hospital. She was the loving mother of Matthew Rezendes, wife of Thomas W. Carroll and the late Henry Rezendes.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Salvatore V. " Sal " and Marion E. ( Desper ) Verdecchia.
Brenda was a manager at Swarovski Crystal in Providence where she made many long term friendships that lasted throughout her career.
Besides her son Matthew and husband Thomas, Brenda leaves her sisters, Marion E. Rowan and her late husband Kevin, Donna L. Fennelly and her husband Charles, brothers, John Lempitsky, Richard Lempitsky and Salvatore Verdecchia, Jr. and his wife Dana.
Brenda was the sister of the late Ronald Lempitsky.
A Celebration of Brenda's Life will be held Monday, August 1, 2022 at 10:30 am in the Russell J. Boyle and Son Funeral Home, 331 Smith Street, Providence. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.
Family and Friends may call at the funeral home the morning of the celebration from 8:00-10:30 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Brenda's memory should be made to the family to help with end of life costs.
Brenda's family will be forever grateful for the life of their beloved Mother, Wife and Sister. Please take the time to tell those you care about the most that you love them. Life is fragile and not guaranteed.
