I have been out of touch with Bonnie and Bruce for a long time, and  ĺ am very late in learning of Bruce's passing.  Bonnie is the daughter of my dad's cousin and grew up in the same small town in Saskatchewan as my family.  I have fond memories of this giant of a man from New York coming to spend Christmas with Bonnie and her folks in the mid sixties.  They were both students at McGill at the time, bright, beautiful, full of promise, planning for their future.  

If not for Dr. Bennett, I would not have been successful at Physiology. His humor matched with intelligence made each class memorable. RIP Dr. Bennett. My condolences to your family.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss.  I shared many coffee breaks with Bruce in my 40 years at CCRI.  I loved his wit, knowledge of sports and views on life. He was one of my favorites to spend time with between classes.

Bonnie:  I send my sincere sympathy to you and to your two daughters.  My 39 years at CCRI coincided with Bruce's 40 years there.  It was always a pleasure being with him especially when we would chew the fat about investing, a topic of interest to both of us.  I echo the words of John Hagan, another CCRI colleague:
Bruce was one of the good guys.  He left an indelible mark in the memories of others, and he will be missed.

Bruce was an inspiration to so many of us at CCRI.  I served with him on the Sabbatical Committee for years and we compared teaching experiences often. He had such a positive outlook about life and so loved his profession.  Bruce was so professional and dedicated.  We will all miss him and his wonderful and clever wit.

To Bennett Family,  Bruce was a true asset at CCRI, I worked with Bonnie for many years in the nursing department, both were truly kind and caring to everyone. God bless all of you!

I graduated CCRI over a decade ago, but Dr. Bennett has never left my memory. His sense of humor and dry wit made me look forward to his classes. I am so glad we had a chance to share laughs together. His jokes often went over people's heads, but they landed in my heart. I learned so much from this man. Rest in peace and explore the universe!

My condolences to all of Mr. Bennets family. I was lucky enough to have Mr. Bennet for physiology in 2007. I was hospitalized during my time with him, and he helped me get through it sick and all. I will always be grateful to him for his kindness during that time. He was a brilliant professor and he will be greatly missed.

Deep regrets and condolences to the Bennett family and friends. I served with Btuce on the CCRI faculty for close to 30 years and he was truly "one of the good guys".

Dr. Bennett was my instructor for Physiology in the late 80's when I studied Nursing. He was kind and had a wonderful sense of humor.  I have to laugh, because I was a bit intimidated by him and as a result I worked harder. He will always be remembered as a teacher who challenged his students to do the very best they could. For that I am grateful.
