Burton Leon Charren

CHARREN, BURTON, 90, passed away Sunday, August 07, 2016. He was the husband of the late Dorie (Elman) Charren. He was born in Providence, a son of the late Harry and Gertrude (Katz) Charren. Burton received a Business degree from URI. He was the owner and operator of Majestic Hardware/Motors. He loved golfing. Burton was a member of the Crestwood Country Club in RI and a Mason. He survived by his daughters Gaia Charren (Gary Gramolini) of Narragansett and Jane Charren (Barry Dressler) of Cranston; his son Marc Charren (Terry) of East Greenwich; brother Stanley Charren of MA; grandchildren Leah Murphy, Sam Wine, Max Covill, Julie Charren, and Amy Charren; and great-grandchildren Marlayna Murphy, Sabrina Murphy, and Gavin Fields. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 9th at 10AM at Sugarman-Sinai Memorial Chapel, 458 Hope St, Providence, RI with burial in Lincoln Park Cemetery, Warwick. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in his memory to the Alzheimer’s Association, http://www.alz.org/ri. Shiva will be held at Tamarisk Assisted Living, 3 Shalom Dr, Warwick, RI 02886, Tuesday 2-4PM and 7-9PM.
