Carlos F. Romero, Sr

Carlos F. Romero, Sr., age 63, of Providence, passed away on August 29, 2014 at Philip Hulitar Home & Hospice Care with his family by his side.He was the beloved husband of Donna L. (Bennett) Romero.Mr. Romero was born in Santurce, Puerto Rico, he was son of Ramona(Silva) and the late Felipe Romero, Sr.Carlos was a Vietnam Veteran serving as a Marine. He was a fan of the NY Yankees. He was also a loving and caring person who was devoted to his family.Besides his loving wife, he leaves his children, Isabella Romero of TX, Stacia Bennett of Stoughton, MA, Jon Soares, Jr of FL, Joshua Ortiz-Fisher of Coventry, Carlos Romero, Jr of Providence, Felipe Romero of Providence, and Arianna Romero also of Providence, Brother of Ana J. Romero, Maria de Los Angeles-Romero and Miriam Romero. Grandfather of Amaya and Bria Adams and Xavier Merisca.He was the dear friend of Maritzat Polivio(Papi)Jimmy and Javier; a cousin Angel Garcia, Sr;, Jose "Tito" Romero. He was also the brother of the late Peter Celestino, Raymond Silva, Felipe Romero, Jr , Juan Romero and Martha Romero.Mr. Romero's funeral with visitation will begin on THURSDAY, September 4, 2014 at 8:00 am in the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 331 Smith St, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am, in Saint Patrick Church, 244 Smith St., Providence. Interment will follow in RI Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
