Carmine A. Napolillo

Carmine A. “Nappy” Napolillo, 89, of Cumberland passed away peacefully on January 5, 2019 at the Friendly Home, Woonsocket. He was the husband of the late Joan (Sosville) Lawrence Napolillo.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Giovanni and Mary Jennie (Campopiano) Napolillo.

Carmine was a Supervisor of Shipbuilding for the U.S. Navy in Quonset and then in Groton, CT. He was also an Army Veteran of the Korean War and was Treasurer of the American Legion, Post 14. Carmine was an avid golfer and bowler. He also enjoyed many trips around the country with his wife in their RV and was most happy surrounded by his family.

He was the father of Linda, David and John (Deanna Harrington) Napolillo, Lauren Dyer (James Dyer), Leslie Beatty (Anthony Adams) and Mark Lawrence; grandfather of 4; great grandfather of 2; brother of Ralph Napolillo, Gloria Saritelli, Janet Romano and the late Angelina Arrico and John Napolillo and uncle to 18 nieces and nephews. He was also the former husband of Elizabeth Napolillo Lombardi.

His funeral will be held Thursday at 9:00 am from the ROMANO FUNERAL HOME, 627 Union Avenue, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Bartholomew Church, 297 Laurel Hill Avenue, Providence. Burial with Military Honors to follow in the R.I. Veteran Cemetery. VISITATION WEDNESDAY 4-7 PM.
