

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Carmelo and Francesca (Pino) Spinella.
Carmine graduated from Providence College and later earned his Master’s degree from the University of Rhode Island as which he became a clinical chemist for many years before retiring. He was also the owner of Physicians Laboratory Service, Inc. and the founder of Northeast Environmental Testing Laboratory, Inc.
He also served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was a member of the Sons of Italy and a past member of Triggs and the Kirkbrae Country Club, where he loved playing golf.
He is the loving father of Raymond A. Spinella and his wife Rosanna, Edward C. Spinella and his wife Lisa, Susan F. Skunza and her husband Luke and Joseph J. Spinella and his wife Lisa and cherished grandfather of Marc, Steven, Nicholas, Zachary, Jacob, Cory, Jack and Maya and great grandfather of Madison and Brandon. He was also the brother of the late Salvatore Spinella, Josephine Barletta, Benjamin Spinella, Anthony Spinella, Frank Spinella, Mary Pina, Rinaldo Spinella and Orlando Spinella.
His visitation and funeral will be held Wednesday, February 21, 2024 from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm in the Pontarelli-Marino Home, 971 Branch Ave, Providence followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:30 p.m. in the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, 1081 Mineral Spring Ave, North Providence. Burial to follow in St. Ann Cemetery.
