Carol Jaffe Levinger, age 81 of Providence and Palm Beach Gardens Florida, passed away Thursday, September 17, 2026, at Miriam Hospital after a brief illness. She was the wife of Frederick Levinger, with whom she shared 58 years of marriage.
Born in Louisville, Kentucky, Carol was the daughter of the late Leonard S. and Marjorie (Dorf) Jaffe. She lived in Providence for many years, spending summers on Nantucket and winters in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Carol was a longtime member of Temple Beth El in Providence and enjoyed golfing, holding memberships at Ledgemont Country Club and Nantucket Golf Club for many years. She especially cherished the 52 summers she spent on Nantucket and the many wonderful friendships she made there.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter, Stephanie Harvey of Boston; two sisters, Ellen Davis and her husband, Robert and Dr. Susan Jaffe; two grandchildren, Read Harvey and Jemma Harvey and one nephew, Andrew, Perlman.
A graveside burial be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 at11:00 am in in Swan Point Cemetery, 585 Blackstone Blvd., Providence.
