Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Amelia (Parrillo) Hughes.
Carolyn was a registered Nurse for St. Joseph's Hospital, Fatima Unit, for many years before retiring.
She was the mother of the late Ramona Lynn Costa, Donna LaPlante and Richard E. Cooke, Jr., grandmother of 7, great grandmother of 6 and great great grandmother of 1.
Her funeral and burial will be private.
