West WarwickCatherine M. Louth, 75, of Legris Avenue, West Warwick, passed away Friday morning, April 21, 2017 at Westview Nursing Center. Born in Providence, Rhode Island, a daughter of the late Thomas and Catherine (McCaffrey) Louth, she lived in Somerset most of her life before moving to Rhode Island four years ago. Catherine was a school teacher in Somerset for over thirty -seven years, where she also served as president of the teachers union. She was a graduate of Salve Regina University and Bridgewater State College, and was a former Religious Sister of Mercy. She leaves two brothers, Thomas Louth and his wife Helen, John Louth and his wife Cheryl; a sister, Ann Marie Louth; several nieces and nephews; and her longtime companion, Frances LaSalle. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday morning, April 29th, at 10:00 am, in Holy Name Church, 709 Hanover Street, Fall River, Massachusetts, to which relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery, Fall River. Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted. Arrangements by Russell J. Boyle & Son, Warwick, RI
