Catherine R. Wells

North Kingstown: Wells, Catherine R. (McCrudden) passed away peacefully Monday at her home. She was the wife of the late James D. Wells. Born in Riverside, RI the daughter of the late James P. & Catherine (Hoey) McCrudden. She was a resident of North Kingstown for over 45 years. Mrs. Wells was active as a C. C. D. teacher and also a Troop Leader for the Boys/Girl Scouts. She is survived by 6 sons, James D. Wells of Palm Bay, FL, John P. Wells of Monmouth, ME, Jerald T. Wells of Saint Augustine, FL, Jeffrey R. Wells of Orlando, FL, Phillip J. Wells of Warwick, RI, and Timothy F. Wells of Smithfield, RI. Four daughters Catherine R. Hensen of Margate, FL, Sheila M. Verdi, Patricia A. Lopez, and Mary M. Gardiner, all of North Kingstown, RI. 22 Grandchildren, and 5 great children. She was the sister of the late James, Sheila, and Mary Ann "Molly" McCrudden. She is also survived by two nephews Kevin and John McCrudden, and one niece Patricia Rosen. Her funeral will be held Saturday at 8:30 am from the Russell J. Boyle & Son Funeral Home 142 Centerville Road, (Route 117) Warwick. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in Saint Bernard Church, Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter. Visiting Hours Friday 4 -7 pm. In lieu of flowers donations to Saint Bernard Church Building Fund 415 Tower Hill Road, North Kingstown 02852 in her memory will be appreciated.
